Dear wonderful readers, listeners, supporters, and audience members:
We’ve been avoiding writing this post for a while now… some big changes are afoot here at That’s All She Wrote, and we will be ending our run with our March 5, 2017 show. Angela Benander, co-producer extraordinaire, is leaving our fair city for the shores of Washington, D.C., and J.H. Palmer will be focusing the bulk of her energies on completing her thesis for her MFA in nonfiction at Columbia College Chicago.
When we launched this series in October 2012 we never imagined we’d enjoy a run as long and as successful as this, and along the way we’ve made some excellent friends, had unforgettable moments, and heard some fantastic stories.
This may be the end of our literary series, but it’s not the end of our story. We will continue to write, perform, and participate, both politically and artistically, in our communities. TASW might come back in some altered form a few months down the line, but we’ll definitely be on hiatus until further notice.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the end of this run; our two final shows will take place at Great Lakes Tattoo, 1148 W. Grand Avenue, on Sunday, February 12 and Sunday, March 5. As usual, all proceeds from these shows will be donated to the Muslim Women Resource Center, a Chicago based organization that we have been supporting since the election, and the resulting fallout from the election.
It’s been a great run and it’s been our honor to host so many fantastic readers and listeners. Come on out and say goodbye to us; we’ve got a seat with your name on it (some of you literally have a seat with your name on it.)
Come see us!
Angela and J.H.
