Meet Marta Johnson: social worker, writer, ballroom dancer.
Marta is a social worker in child welfare who staves off burn out by sticking her head in creative places, including ballroom dance studios (for purposes of whirling and twirling) and packed out coffee shops, where she puts pen to paper. Her recent foray into the world of Live Lit has included performances with the Kates and Story Lab. On most days you can find Marta drinking lots of water and following the rules in Logan Square, where she lives together with her younger sister and charming (but very naughty) border collie, Leroy.
Meet Marta in person this Sunday at Swim Cafe, 1357 W. Chicago Avenue, for the November edition of That’s All She Wrote. Doors open at 7:30, stories start at 8.
