Rounding out our fantastic September lineup is none other than Roger Bonair-Agard. If you haven’t seen Roger perform, prepare yourselves – he’s a force of nature. If you have seen him, you know what I’m talking about.
Roger Bonair-Agard is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, a Cave Canem fellow and author of 3 collections of poems, tarnish & masquerade (Cypher Books, 2006), GULLY (Cypher Books / Peepal Tree Press, 2010) and Bury My Clothes (Haymarket Books, 2013). Artistic Director and Co-founder of NYC’s louderARTS Project, Roger is Young Chicago Author’s Artistic Fellow and teaches at Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. He is Nina’s father.
Come see all our fabulous readers this Sunday at Swim Cafe, 1357 W. Chicago Ave. Doors open at 7:30, stories start at 8. As always, this is a free show, and BYOB – so visit our friends at Lush Wine & Spirits across the street and get yourself a bottle before heading our way.
