Way back when the Internet was just an information superhighway glimmer in somebody’s eye, when the CTA still had A and B stops and the red line was known as the “Howard-Dan Ryan”, little J.H. was a student at Columbia College, where she took some fiction writing classes with Eric May! Pretty cool, huh? I hope he won’t be grading our stories… which reminds me, I should really go work on my piece.
Eric Charles May is an associate professor in the Fiction Writing Department at Columbia College Chicago and a former reporter for The Washington Post. His fiction has appeared in Fish Stories, F, and Criminal Class magazines. In addition to his Post reporting, his nonfiction has appeared in Sport Literate and the Chicago Tribune. His novel Bedrock Faith is scheduled to be released by Akashic Books early next year.
