We have a reader who’s crossing state lines! Nanette George is a writer and storyteller who was educated as a journalist and took up public affairs when she realized just how much she had to say about politics.
At the beginning of her career, she handled projects for President Clinton and Mayor Richard Daley at Chicago-based Jasculca/Terman and Associates. She later moved home to Washington, D.C. to spend 6 years as a speechwriter for senators Richard Durbin and Debbie Stabenow. There, she was the ringleader for several progressive initiatives, including 10 successful filibusters against President George W. Bush’s judicial nominees.
She later moved to Raleigh and worked for a technology start-up company until recently, when she founded Bright Publish, a content marketing firm that creates true stories to generate sales leads for high-tech companies.
Nanette is making the trek to Chicago and That’s All She Wrote to share her experiences with vulnerability, kids and mean girls in her comedy routine, “Find Your Swagger,” at our June show.
